Little did we know 20 years ago what might be in store for us in  2008. The year was 1988 , I was looking for something to do after retirement from a Fortune 500 company & our daughter Terri was a nurse starting a family & wanted to be with her children more. We live on a major Scenic Byway in Holmes County ,Ohio with about 4 million visitors a year. Most come to see the Amish, view their lifestyle & purchase their goods.

Our first building was a 2 story 28’x28’ structure.

From these humble beginnings, we now ship to all 50 states & many foreign countries. Since 1997 we have shipped to over 6,300 customers.

In celebration of our 20th Anniversary we are offering fantastic savings on our retired Heritage Lace products. Over 1,500 total pieces available, many below cost on a first come first served basis. Amish Traditions was:

1. The first to post Amish crafted furniture retail prices on a website (at the same price as in our retail store).

2. The first to show detailed video so that you can view the furniture similar to being in our store.

3. The first to offer formaldehyde-free plywood in Amish crafted furniture.

Most all of our products are made from Northern hardwood oak, cherry, maple, etc. Things like hutch backs, desk backs ,some shelves ,drawer bottoms and miscellaneous parts are made from plywood. 

Many persons are sensitive to formaldehyde . Adhesives used to manufacture most plywood products contain formaldehyde. We are now able to furnish many of our products described above with formaldehyde free plywood. We have shipped some products to customers with formaldehyde free plywood. We also use a formaldehyde free topcoat finish.
